Polycom VVX Series Phones 

• Consultative Transfer - The party to whom you want to transfer the call answers their phone before you transfer the call or hang up. You can consult with the other party before completing the transfer.
• Blind Transfer - The call is automatically transferred after you dial the number of the party to whom you want to transfer the call.
• Transfer Directly to Voicemail - The call is automatically transferred to the User's voicemail.

NOTE: The Default Transfer Type is Consultative Transfer for Polycom VVX Series Phones. To change the Default Transfer Type, go to Changing the Default Transfer Type on Polycom VVX Series Phones.

Consultative Transfer

Step 1:

While on a call, press the Transfer Key.

Step 2:

Enter the Extension number, Local or Long Distance phone number.

Step 3:

Press Transfer.

NOTE: This is assuming that your phone's Default Transfer Type is set to Consultative. To change your phone's Default Transfer Type while on a call, go to Changing the Default Transfer Type while on a call. 

Caller ID Behavior: Consultative transfers only show the Caller ID of the transferring party and does not include the originating Caller ID.

Blind Transfer

Step 1:

While on a call, press the Transfer Key.

Step 2:

Enter the transfer target extension number, local or long distance phone number.

NOTE: This is assuming that your phone's Default Transfer Type is set to Blind. To change your phone's Default Transfer Type while on a call, go to Changing the Default Transfer Type while on a call. 

Step 3:

Wait for couple of seconds for the transfer to complete automatically, or press the # (Hash key) to dial out. 

Caller ID Behavior: Blind transfers only show the originating Caller ID

Transfer Directly to Voicemail

Step 1:

While on a call, press the Transfer Key.

Step 2:

Enter *0 (asterisk and then zero), and transfer target extension number.

NOTE: This is assuming that your phone's Default Transfer Type is set to Blind. To change your phone's Default Transfer Type while on a call, go to Changing the Default Transfer Type while on a call. 

Step 3:

Wait for couple of seconds for the transfer to complete automatically, or press the # (Hash key) to dial out.
